Google Gets Ready for Cricket World Cup 2015

Posted: February 14, 2015 at 10:17 am   /   by   /   comments (0)

Google changed its logo to support Cricket Fever and engage Cricket Audience worldwide as ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 in Australia and New Zealand has started. A huge number of cricket supporters, fans and fanatics search Cricket match results, fixtures, stats and live scores on search engines.

Keeping that in mind, Google probably started engaging Cricket fans through its real-time scoring and live updating facility – In the past we have seen Google during Olympics and FIFA World Cup 2015 doing similar kind of stuff.

Recently Twitter made a separate World Cup 2015 Updates Page to show the fixtures and real-time tweets for Cricket World Cup 2015. It’s great to see Social Media and Internet giants are supporting Sports and Events – Obviously they collect exposure, user attention and engagement by doing so, but they also participate to promote the sporting activities globally.
