IIFA 2014 Selfie vs. Oscars 2014 Selfie – Bollywood Stars Copy Ellen DeGeneres Oscars 2014 Selfie

Oscars 2014 Selfie which went viral on Twitter and Facebook during Oscars 2014 includes Jennifer Lawrence, Julia Roberts, Meryl Streep, Bradley Cooper, Kevin Spacey, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and Ellen DeGeneres. Ellen DeGeneres tweeted that Selfie, and it became the most retweeted tweet of all time.

Ellen DeGeneres selfie tweet became the only tweet on twitter with 1 million retweets which became a record in Social Media’s history. It was from Hollywood’s room…

Bollywood has always been criticized from Hollywood (Asian) fans about copying the trends, stories, concepts and ideas from Hollywood movies – A spark of similar thought burst up again when Bollywood Stars took a Selfie featuring Shahid Kapoor, Farhan Akhtar, Anil Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha, Shatrughan Sinha and Hollywood Actor Kevin Spacey…

Kevin Spacey managed to get spot in both places, though … Congrats to him…

Things which actually made me to think about both of these Selfies were theĀ usage of Smartphones and utilization of Social Media by the Celebrities.

Besides that, Bollywood Stars are looking amazing in IIFA 2014 Selfie, but still they used the idea which was already done in the Hollywood territory – Even though, One of my favorite producers Farhan Akhtar along with my one of the favorite Actors Shahid Kapoor are featuring in the IIFA 2014 Selfie

Despite the fact, Bollywood Crazy fans on Twitter and Facebook are loving the Selfie captured by Shahid Kapoor with other film stars, it will keep on recalling many of the readers about the Oscar 2014 Selfie…

There is no doubt that this might have been taken in a light-mood and just for fun by Bollywood Stars – It will be never be a trend-setter as Oscars 2014 Selfie will be…

The factor I see in both Selfies is the high-value Smartphones in both pictures – Bollywood critics (hollywood fans) might only consider it as a copycat-act from B-town Stars, but as far as my views are concerned, I don’t oppose Bollywood IIFA 2014 Selfie as it somehow depicts the technology in hands (as Smartphone)…

It shows technology, and its utilization!

Even though, it has nothing to do with me as a common man – It might only be helpful for Twitter, Facebook, Google+ and many Smartphone Companies who will be getting attention of consumers…Still I think it creates a concept and something trending related to technology!
