Mobilink, Ufone & Telenor Start Customer Care Live Chat

You probably visited official websites of Mobilink, Ufone & Telenor or not, but I did – What I found recently was ‘Live Chat’ option for customer service – It has been one of the coolest decisions these companies ever made.

I’ll explain why I’m praising this customer care strategy so much later in this article – Firstly I would like to mention that I was checking some Mobile Phone offers which normally cellular companies offer for customers – Just like in USA mobile phone carriers like T-Mobiles, AT&T and Verizon offer Smartphones on contract, so I was wondering about such offers from Pakistan’s cellular companies.

I found some discounts on the Smartphones, but I got ‘Customer Care Chat’ facility on Mobilink Website, and I got impressed, because it never happened before – Being a Business Management graduate I know the importance of Customer care and Customer Satisfaction, so I thought Mobilink certainly got an edge over competitors by bringing this service on-line.

Right after few days, Similar Customer Care’ like chat and support service started appearing on Telenor’s website (Telenor Pakistan), and guess what after some days of Telenor and Mobilink, Ufone did the same.

There isn’t any issue of even copying the trend of Customer Care Chat Service on the official websites – Its for a greater good – when it comes to customers help and assistance, it adds value to the brand.

Why a Web-based Customer Service Option?

Its actually a great effort of these cellular companies in Pakistan – They might have found the potential in the internet based customer service when Broadband and Internet is probably not very expensive, People love Smartphones, and Android Phones and iPhones are getting in the market, so they might be targeting more types of audience rather than just helpline based customer service.

We have seen these companies are getting more and more involved with Smartphone audience, because a Smartphone buyer is more potential customer than a normal mobile phone user who uses a simple mobile phone which costs $30 approx.

More quality audience means more access to the potential customers – These companies have brought their official Smartphone apps in the recent past which are available on App Store and Google Play. So its not a big thing – Now Tech and IT experts in Pakistan are keeping eyes on the next big thing from these companies.

We are living in the age of Social Media and Free texting Apps – Haven’t heard about WhatsApp, Viber, Wechat, Facebook and Twitter? You might have seen all these social and interaction tools.

So its a good sign!

People are getting more aware and conscious towards Social Media and Communication – It will bring more competition, which will surely result some quality packages, offers and deals from these cellular companies.

The question is, what would be the next step these companies (Mobilink, Ufone, Telenor, Warid and Zong) would take? Let me and my readers know what you think about today’s communication age and these companies’ responsibility towards Pakistani market.
